At school we had spirit week and it was Hollywood. This day was Harry Potter day- and as a die hard fan I knew I had to dress up. This was my Bellatrix look, and I was really embarrassed and nervous about my body. I posted it as my profile picture and everyone seemed to love it. The clothes is all vintage/ thrift clothes. I realized that instead of hiding my body in large clothes, maybe wearing tighter clothes wasn’t too bad.
US SIZE Dress 14/16
This is EXCELLENT. Both as a costume and just as vaguely 80s-throwback-kinda-Stevie-Nicks gear. I’m glad you got over your nervousness, because you look beautiful! I wish I had good thrift finds like that!

I love the “try on everything” school of thought because A) look what awesome shit you get out of it, and B) it just opens up so much.
Tangentially: it’s still scary for me to do it online though. I can logic myself like “okay, I know this is stretchy and I know how stretchy things fit me usually and this is how it looks like it’s cut” but I haaate returns so much for no good reason.
