Camelia Shantelle
I love this! From the updated-retro of the outfit to the slightly nostalgic effect of the photo, the whole thing = <3

Hello ! My name is Jazmine. I’m 23 and wear a US size 18/20. I’m happy with the way I look :)
So, I’m getting ready to take a little Tumblr sabbatical, but before I do, I wanted to submit to BBB. As I explained recently, I’m not exactly comfortable going shirtless because a guy’s masculinity is often tied to how muscular he appears. And although the waterpark we went to was fat friendly (I wrote about the experience here), I was still incredibly self-conscious about walking around shirtless when all these muscle-bound guys seemed to have “earned” the right to go shirtless.
This picture is my way of saying fuck your definitions of masculinity. I hate swimming with a t-shirt on (which I did the second day since I scored a wicked sunburn on the first) and going shirtless allowed me to enjoy my day at the waterpark with our kids all the more.
Stop worrying what others will think of your exposed body and do what makes you happy
I like this (stumbled upon this tumblr, also, must follow!) because for all my life, my dad, who is also bigger like me and most of that side of the family, has always worn t-shirts at pools and beaches, and it made me sad as a kid because even when I was little I could tell he was embarrassed. It made me more aware that I should be embarrassed but also sad that he was sad or ashamed of himself (who was and still is basically my hero). So I’m glad there are dudes out there being themselves and enjoying themselves.
And I like to think the little girl who is clearly having an awesome time is also happy that her parent is not awkward and not being himself.
